Wellbeing in Nature

Exploring the benefits of time in nature.

It's proven that time spent outdoors in nature-rich areas positively impacts our personal wellbeing, our free weekly woodland activity sessions in our community-owned Teucheen Wood explores these benefits - giving members of our local and wider communities a space in which they can better connect with and learn from nature.

The sessions are led by a fully qualified woodland educator and each session gives attendees a chance to get out into our community woodland and find out more about their local environment, learning new skills and taking part in various activities to boost their connection to the natural world and confidence in the outdoors.  From campfire cooking and foraging to bushcraft and willow weaving - there's plenty on offer during the sessions!

Our adult sessions are open to those in Renfrewshire (ages 16 and above).

Teucheen Wood provides a perfect environment for young people to engage with nature, skill-building and one-another.

Most recently Teucheen Wood has been host to pupils from our local high school. Through funding from Renfrewshire Council’s Celebrating Renfrewshire programme, the Trust facilitated a series of sessions in our woodland to encourage the development of new outdoor skills and knowledge, with pupils getting hands on with woodland learning, green crafting and conservation tasks.
