Our Friends of Teucheen Wood were out again last week tackling the last of the woodland’s invasive rhododendron bushes - helping to prevent their spread and creating a healthier woodland where native plants can thrive.
Our rhodie bonfire meant that we could fully dispose of any cut material on-site and helped keep our volunteers nice and toasty in the cold weather too!
We also made a start on clearing another patch of the woodland of fly-tipped material, tomorrow’s Saturday session will be continuing this clean-up alongside an on-path litter pick for any little ones coming along.
Thanks to our volunteers for all their hard work on the day! If you’d like to get involved too, drop us an email at idtvolunteers@outlook.com
