Teucheen Wood has now officially re-opened, following its closure due to damage from Storm Éowyn. A big thank you to our Friends of Teucheen Wood for their hard work in the woodland on Saturday! They spent the morning clearing debris created by last month’s Storm Éowyn and tackling fallen limbs blocking entrances and paths. Their work helped kickstart efforts to restore woodland access ahead of more extensive works by our tree surgeon in the coming weeks. We will provide a further update on the woodland once full, proper access is restored.

IDT staff and volunteers conducted a walk-through of Teucheen Wood earlier today to assess it’s condition following the impact of Storm Éowyn. Thankfully everyone is safe following the storm and we did not observe damage to neighbouring properties during this walk. However, there are several major obstructions within the woodland interior, with large trees having fallen across the path network. For the safety of all woodland users, we have made the decision to temporarily clo
